This bold maximalist screenprint is my interpretation of the artichoke, using multiple layers of ink, a variety of colours and patterns to create depth. The artichoke has been a symbol of hope, prosperity, and resilience in design for centuries. It's tough exterior and tender core represent strength and inner beauty. Historically, it’s featured in classical architecture and modern designs alike, often symbolising transformation.
